Adeje announces how proud it is of Club Hípico Fañabé’s equestrian success in Gran Canaria.
On behalf of the local council’s sports department, Adolfo Alonso Ferrera  said they wanted to express their delight in public and through the press. This honoured not only the club for its tremendous achievement but highlighted the wealth of talent in Adeje on the sporting scene.
Club Hípico Fañabé took part in the Hípico Canary Championships held in Las Palmas. Hugo Mossu with Maravilla, Luna Jimenez with Chivas and Miki Valentín with Update won cadet gold medals, gold juvenile and silver adult respectively and gold with the team, with the addition of Paul Groeham riding Rocky.
Sr. Ferrera said Adeje is proud of these achievements and showed what the youth of the municipality could achieve with effort, discipline, determination and joy. The Department of Sport had spent many years working to spread the appeal of all sports, both through its own events and partnerships with local clubs. He particularly highlighted the success of Miki Valentin who, at 19, had dared to take on the veterans and won a silver, having been so close to gold.
He also congratulated everyone who took part in the championships, the club, parents, coaches, trainers etc. because riding is a complex sport combining human and animal skills, both in training and in competitions.
