A little girl of three died after choking to death while on holiday in Gran Canaria.
At the time of going to press, no further details had been released but it is understood she had been eating a hot-dog near the swimming pool. Efforts to save her failed.
The tragedy is not as rare as people may think because there have been many deaths through choking on hot dogs and pediatricians have even called for a choke-proof hot dog of a different size, shape and texture which would not lodge in a child’s throat.
