Woman drowns in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura PDF Print E-mail

A woman of around 30 drowned last week while swimming in Playa Blanca, and another swimmer, about 55 is in a critical condition.

The emergency services were called as soon as it was noticed that the swimmers were in trouble.
Firefighters were first on the scene and rescued both swimmers;  paramedicas followed along with advanced life support, as well as Canario Emergency Service (SUC), Local Police, National Police and Maritime Rescue.
One woman could not be resuscitated, but the other swimmer was revived and taken to Fuerteventura General Hospital.
