Rachael's Motors, a name to rely on PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 January 2010 16:17

Rachael's Motors is a well-known name on Tenerife and has built up an excellent  reputation through trust, competitive pricing and customer care.

In today's modern era of equality, there is still the occasional raised eye-brow at a woman being in charge of a successful garage but there's nothing about cars that Rachael doesn't know.
She's an astute business woman who has been involved in the  motor trade all her life but combines her professionalism with a friendly and approachable manner.
Whilst other little girls played at being nurses or ballerinas, the young Rachael liked nothing better than fixing hoovers and bikes or taking anything electronic to bits and then re-assembling them.
Her father was a builder and her mother worked in a bank but both were totally supportive when Rachael decided she wanted to become a mechanic and sat her City and Guilds in Devon.
She worked in a number of garages before eventually moving to Tenerife 18 years ago, getting a job straight away with a car hire firm. She then set up her own business at the previous locations and has been in the current premises at Las Chafiras for the last eight years. A move across the road to the modern industrial estate is at last on the cards for some time in 2010 which will provide more space to work and to expand and it's a great step forward for Rachael as she will actually own the premises.
Rachael's Motors is always busy, a sign of a good garage, but motorists with a car problem often phone up on the day or drive past to ask for help. Many customers have been with her for years and it's hugely important to find someone you can trust and rely on.
If you want a car service or body repair or an ITV, it's best to book an appointment in advance and you will receive every help possible,
either through the loan of a courtesy car or a lift.
As Rachael says, the business offers the whole range of services including valeting and air conditioning and deals with all vehicles, new or secondhand, whatever their type. They also buy and sell cars and deal with all vehicle paper work on your behalf which will really relieve your stress.
The next time you break down, make a point of having Rachael's number handy too. Most drivers over here will be covered on their insurance for being picked up by the Grua but might not realise it or don't know how to contact them. Rachael will do all of that for you, as she speaks fluent Spanish, and can then sort your car's problem out as well. So jot down the numbers of 609 517 721 and 922 735 250 now and tuck the bit of paper away in your dashboard.
Rachael deals with businesses and fleets as well as private customers of all nationalities and is very pleased at how 2009 turned out, despite the recession and pressure on people's pockets. If she can help you in any way, do get in touch or pop in. You will find Rachael's Motors at 21 Calle Errales, Las Moraditas, Las Chafiras - that's on the left hand side of the motorway as you travel towards Santa Cruz immediately behind the parade of shops and restaurants.
