Officials are pledging that the 2010 Ladies' Open Golf Championship to be held in Tenerife will be spectacular and the best ever.

The prestigious event is from July 1st to 4th at Buenavista Golf, the second time it has been held there but the first time since all the facilities have been finished and the new luxurious hotel constructed.
The tournament has attracted 126 top lady professionals from 25 countries, including three from Korea which Tenerife sees as another potential market.
The official presentation took place at the Circuito Carlos Sainz and those attending were surprised but delighted to be offered a chance to have a go on one of the motorcycles.
Tourism councillor for the Tenerife Cabildo José Manuel Bermúdez said the event was of huge importance for tourism in the Canary Islands and specifically for Tenerife.
The venue at Buenavista was excellent and visitors would be very surprised by the facilities and the incredible landscape which would all spell good news for the island's tourism promotions.
The tournament is also the biggest money-spinner of its kind in the archipelago, with a revenue estimated at 20 million euros in 2009.
Sr Bermúdez said the event was going to be “brilliant” and this view was backed up by players and officials alike who praised Tenerife for its facilities and weather which was always a huge bonus.
