Organisers of the 28th Canary Islands’ Music Festival are continuing to present the very highest of standards in entertainment.Still only half way through, the programme has been praised by members of the audience who have been giving excellent support to the event which spans the seven islands.
Latest stars have included II Giardino Armonico from Milan which presented seven concerts of popular Borque orchestral music, with works by Bach and Telemann. II Giardino Armonico brought together some of Europe’s most prestigious musicians and their tour took in Lanzarote, El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife.
The festival also starred for the first time the Salzburg orchestra Mozarteum who presented a programme of Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn and Mozart in Las Palmas and Santa Cruz. The concerts were described as “stunning”.
The Festival continues this month until February 15th with various concerts around the islands, including by the Oslo String Quartet. You can find full details of the remaining programme on www.festivaldecanarias.com
