Music school begins another year with great support

La Orotava has pledged its continued support for the Municipal School of Music and Dance, despite the tough economic climate.

Granadilla’s third Mountain Week will have appeal to all

Granadilla is to hold a special activity week dedicated to mountain sports in November. The registration period has also opened for one of the highlights, the III Trail ‘Ruta del Gofio’ (Gofio Route) which takes place on November 1st.

Councillors in Guia de Isora are urging Tenerife Cabildo to put more investment into local sports facilities.

Library reopens

The public library at Las Galletas has been reopened, Arona Council has announced.

The new facility is within the cultural centre and will be open Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm. This became effective on October 1st.

Motor-cyclist dies of head injuries

Rescue workers were unable to save the life of a motor-cyclist who was seriously injured in an accident on Gran Canaria.

The 45-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in the crash on the GC-200 in the municipality of Agaete.
