Old house on Los Cristianos beach to be declared a ruin

Arona Council has stepped in to try and do something about a ruin on the beach of Los Cristianos which fascinates many people.

The “Casa del Peña” was obviously once a very attractive villa and was reputed to be the holiday home of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

Arrest after couple mugged

Police have arrested one of two men who mugged a tourist in Las Galletas.

  The incident happened at the end of January but officers have been investigating since and are confident that the second person will also be idenitified.
