The local council has just completed a new one in the district of Pedro Álvarez at a cost of 8,000 euros to meet the requests of residents. It is conveniently situated in the plaza opposite the church and cultural centre.

Father and son both die in drowning tragedy

There was a double New Year tragedy on Playa del Inglés in Gran Canaria when a father and son both lost their lives.

The two men were aged 65 and 36 and were of Spanish nationality although living in Switzerland. It is believed both drowned.

Second remodelling phase for calle Londres

Loro Parque welcomes baby jellyfish in European first

Some rather unusual “babies” have arrived at Loro Parque following another European first for the popular zoo.

Visitors can now see 42 baby jellyfish which were hatched from fertilised eggs of the species “Pelagia noctiluca”. They are only 20 centimetres in length but are set to play a star role in the new AquaViva section of Loro Parque.
