Fitting honour as sports centre renamed

Justice was done when a sports centre in El Rosario was named in memory of a successful Canary wrestler and athlete.

So said the Mayor, Macario Benítez Gil when the Llano del Moro facilities were officially renamed “Emeterio Gil Cruz”.

Sun-bathers looked on in concern as a dramatic sea rescue was carried out off the beach of Playa Paraiso on July 18th.

Cliff cracks “have not altered at all”

Cracks which led to the temporary closure of Los Guíos beach at Los Gigantes do not present a danger to the public, experts have assured.
