Costa Adeje thrilled with Easter figures

Hoteliers in Costa Adeje say they are encouraged for the future following a very good Easter from a capacity point of view.

Figures show occupation was around 90 per cent, very similar to Easter of 2014. Following the same trend as a year ago, some of the hotels were full.

A woman paraglider had a lucky escape when she crash-landed into the ocean in Gran Canaria and was rescued by fishermen.

The accident happened off the coast of Rincón in Las Palmas just after noon.

Anxiety attack after fire

A resident needed treatment for an anxiety attack after their house nearly went up in flames.

Firefighters were able to confine a blaze in the property in Santa Cruz to one room after an emergency call to the 1-1-2 centre reported a cloud of smoke.
