Deadline looms as banks ask customers for their documents

Bank customers are being warned that their accounts could be blocked if they fail to comply with new regulations under the Money Laundering Act.

Branches throughout Spain, including Tenerife and the rest of the Canary Islands, have been requesting customers to produce documents to prove where their specific source of income comes from and to enable records to be updated.
