Relay teams sought for Vuelta Trail challenge
The third edition of the La Laguna Vuelta Trail for relay teams takes place on Sunday, May 27th.
The organisers are offering a total of 7,200 euros in prizes in the different categories.
In total, this event with mountain athletics will travel 67.8 km. divided into six stages.
The route of this test, which is organised by the auto-nomous sports organisation of La Laguna, will be 90 per cent over forest tracks and will be developed in the Rural Park of Anaga, declared a Biosphere Reserve.
The first stage will take place between La Catedral and Jardina (7.7 km), the second one, of 12.6km, ends at Las Carboneras and the third runs from this point to La Punta (9.3 km).
After performing these first three circuits, the participating teams will dispute the fourth stage that will be followed, among others, Andén Colo-rado and Batán until arriving at Cruz del Carmen (13.1 km). In the fifth they will pass through La Orilla and Lomo de los Mirlos, among other towns (16.3 km). The last stage will already be on the Mesa Mota or Las Gavias until the end of the race at the Estadio (8.8 km).
1: La Catedral-La Gallardina-Lomo Largo-Jardina: 7,7 km.
2: Jardina-Cruz del Carmen-Las Carboneras: 12,6 km.
3: Las Carboneras-Cruz de Bejía-Chinamada-La Punta: 9,3 km.
4: La Punta-Andén Colorado- Batán-Cruz del Carmen: 13,1 km.
5: Cruz del Carmen-La Orilla-La Estercolada-Lomo de los Mirlos-Las Canteras: 16,3 km.
6ª: Las Canteras-Mesa Mota-La Atalaya-Hoya de los Camellos-Las Gavias- Francisco Peraza: 8,8 km.
