Artedental takes leading role at largest dental fair in Spain
Just like the British Dental Conference or the Euro Dental Congress, Expodental stands as one of the most prestigious meetings on the continent between professionals in the dental sector.
The exhibition celebrated its 14th edition this year between March 15th and 17th. Located in the Ifema fairgrounds in Madrid, it focused on the sam-ple of new technologies, training, techniques and innovative treatments for a sector that grows above GDP and occupies nine per cent of health-care technology, according to the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Sanitary Techno-logy, Fenin, organised by Expodental hand in hand with Ifema. A meeting to discuss and learn among the dental elite.
The figures speak for themselves: more than 22,000 square metres occupied by 349 companies around the world representing 1,458 trademarks. The professionals were able to witness the latest launches in design for clinics and labo-ratories, machinery, or attend conferences of high-level professionals, since training is one of the most significant focuses of Expodental this 2018.
For yet another edition, several members of the Tenerife Artedental clinic team were present at the fair, and not only as observers.
The centre’s medical director, Víctor Cubillo, held a conference for the Ziacom international implant home entitled Partial Teeth Extraction, an innovative solution for post-extraction implants. This treatment consists of keeping part of the tooth to be extract-ed to preserve the vascularization of the bone, so that it improves the longevity of the implant, one of the biggest challenges to be overcome by the industry.
The Artedental surgeon showed several successful cases achieved through this technique in his clinic in Puerto de la Cruz before the other professionals.
It is not the first time that the director of Artedental attended the fair as a guest to be part of its circle of speakers. The constant dedication of the clinic to research meant it had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of the most prestigious professionals in Spain.
This year, the Canary Islands was the invited community. The intention was to increase the number of visitors to the islands that the fair receives each year. In the words of the president of the Dental Sector of Fenin, Juan Molina, “it was an honour to have the Canary Islands as a guest CCAA at Expodental 2018. It represents the consolidation of relationships between industry and professionals with the aim of encouraging their participation in the next edition of the fair and thus have the opportunity to know the technological innovations presented by companies in the sector, always in favour of the dental professional”.
