Record entries for VII Ascent to Tágara
The Guía de Isora Mountain Race has become one of the most popular races in its field.
The VII edition of the Ascent to Tágara will have 480 participants, 30 more than in the previous edition, and will be held on March 11th.
Its technical complexity (it is the third highest test in the Canary Islands, reaching 2,100m) and its variety of landscapes make it very attractive for runners from different backgrounds. Proof of this is the record reached in registrations this year.
Councillor for sports, José Rivero was pleasantly surprised that despite the harshness of the test. entries have exceeded all the forecasts.
The test is organised by the Tágara Trail Corre club and the local council and he extended thanks to all involved.
The race corroborates the slogan of the Department of Sports of the City Council of Guía de Isora “sport from coast to summit”. In the 34km and 14km of the long and short versions, the participants will find a difference of 1200 metres, a challenge that attracts the most daring athletes.
Due to the high number of requests for registrations that the organisation has had, a reserve list has been opened in case any of those made up to the time of the closure is not confirmed. For more in-formation, interested parties should visit www.mdsports.es
