Taste of success for Viorica and Adrian

Hundreds of people have been able to enjoy one of the most important gastronomic events of the year in Guía de Isora.

The Tapeando Isora route has counted with the partici-pation of 24 establishments distributed throughout the municipality, some of them with more than 300 tapas sold.

The winner, by popular vote, has been the ‘Sámara’ tapa of the Puesta de Sol café, in Playa San Juan. Its owner is Viorica Serb and the creator of the cover is Adrián Arteaga Herrera. Both claim to be delighted with this initiative that they say “has served to attract many new customers, so they know their offer and want to return.”

Each year, the Department of Tourism seeks innovation through activities that complement the route of the tapa and serve to highlight natural products and the rich cuisine of the region. On this occasion a workshop for families called ‘Panes del Mundo’ was held, in charge of the Kitchen-Workshop ‘Se va la olla’; and a showcooking session by the chef of the Acuatromanos restaurant, Víctor Rubia.

According to the councillor of the area, José Miguel Mesa, “this event is a revitalising action in the sector of the restoration of the municipality, which aims to become the means to promote restaurants as well as the culinary wealth of Guía de Isora, in addition to promoting information and promotion of the tourist activity.”
