Icod presents heart machines to police
Icod de los Vinos is continuing with its plan to provide the necessary resources to the Local Police.
On this occasion, councillor for safety Isabel Garcia presented two SAM 350P defibrillators which can help victims of sudden cardiac arrest.
It is a semi-automatic external defibrillator designed to quickly manage a discharge. In addition, the pack has another device to use in the event that the victims are under one to eight years old and have an approximate weight of 25 kilos.
Of the 17 agents, eight have already completed the corresponding course for the use of defibrillators.
“It is a fundamental element in the police patrols, which gives an added value to the professionalisation of the agents; we are clear that we must promote and guarantee with the means that we have a service with all the guarantees for a body as close to the citizenship as the Local Police,” said the safety councillor.
