Film bonanza in Guia de Isora with MiradasDoc festival
If you like watching films, Guia de Isora is the place to be from January 26th to February 3rd.
MiradasDoc, the Festival and International Documentary Film Market, is inviting its supports to enjoy more than 70 films.
The offerings include those selected for the different competitions of its official section and others in its programme of informative samples and review of the work of authors who have contributed an original look to the language of documentary film.
The meeting of MiradasDoc with its audience begins with the inaugural gala of the XII edition, on Friday, January 26th. This first day gives way to eight more days of projections of several tens of reality films. The MiradasDoc agenda includes, in addition to the screenings, meetings with directors, forums, workshops and debates.
The official section of the festival includes three international sections – Feature Film, Short Film and First Work – as well as awarding a prize for the Best National Documentary and Best Canarian Documentary.
“The films have been selected among the recently created documentaries around the world,” a spokesman for the organisers explained.
” The main selection criteria of the festival encourages a search for films that show an original and sincere story of the social happening of the planet from the personal vision of the author.”
