Arona opens its second winter university with seven courses
The University of Winter of Arona returns in January with a training offer of two months and seven courses.
The first event in January will analyse the post-truth and “fake news” with the journalist Clara Jiménez Cruz, host of the section Maldita Hemeroteca in El Objetivo de La Sexta.
The 2018 edition includes programmes in English and addresses topics such as computer thinking in tourism, child vaccination, business innovation or heritage as a resource for development
The official opening ceremony will be on January 19th and will be attended by the rector of the ULL and the journalist and writer Fernando Delgado.
Registration for this second edition opened on December 29th with the courses running from January to March 2018. The official opening ceremony will take place at the Casino de Arona and will be attended by the rector of the University of La Laguna (ULL), Antonio Martinón, and the journalist and writer Fernando Delgado. The programme of courses will begin on January 22nd.
The courses are open to the general public and recognised as ECTS (free choice credits). Registration can be done, in person, at the Office of the Vice Rector for Relations with the Society of the ULL or through the web www.ull.es/cursos-deextension
The enrollment of each course will be 20 euros, reduced by 50 per cent for people registered in the municipality, and all will be held from 4pm to 8pm.
