Tenders sought for remodelling of Avenida Marítima
The project to remodel Avenida Marítima between Punta Negra and Avenida La Gaviota in Santiago del Teide is moving closer.
The Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP) has published the call for an open procedure to award the execution of the works.
The contract will be awarded by Tenerife Cabildo and will have an execution period of seven months and a budget of 872,048.82 euros (without IGIC).
Interested companies had 26 calendar days from November 13th to submit their proposals at the General Registry Office of the Cabildo or by ordinary mail counted from the next day of the publication of this announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province.
This project, which is included in Programme 4.5 (Strategy and Regeneration of the Tourism Area) of Axis 2.16 (Strategy and Regeneration of the Tourism Area) of the MEDI-FDCAN, includes the total renewal of the pavement, barriers, light, track section, the creation of green areas and the arrangement of car parks. In addition, it contemplates the improvement and redefinition of a large section of the avenue and its intersection with Alfonso Ferrer street – where there will be a roundabout – and will also affect the connections of the main road with Punta Negra and Ana María streets.
For this project, the City Council of Santiago del Teide will contribute almost one million euros between work and modifications, while the Cabildo will contribute 197,000 euros.
