Still time to enter the San Silvestre Lagunera
The 36th edition of the San Silvestre Lagunera, the popular race organised by the Autonomous Sports Organisation (OAD) of Aguere which takes place on December 31st, is already close to 2,000 registered runners.
The event, which will be held in the late afternoon of the last day of the year in the historic centre, has a limit of 3,000 registrations and has the sponsorships of Sport Zone, Disa, Cajamar, Fred Olsen and Coca Tail.
Those interested in signing up can do so at the OAD headquarters, on Capitán Brotons street in La Laguna.
Those interested can also formalise their registration, until 8pm on December 21st online through the website www.deportelagunero.com. To be part of the last event of the year, riders must pay eight euros. This includes technical shirt, chip, dorsal and insurance.
This San Silvestre Lagunera will be held on Sunday, December 31st, starting at 6pm, on the traditional urban circuit through the historic centre of Aguere, on a route of 5,700 metres, with the start and finish at the Plaza de la Concepción.
For the third consecutive year, those interested will be able to follow the San Silvestre Lagunera through the small screen, courtesy of Televisión Canaria.
Agoney Díaz (17.23, Bikila) and Marta Arnay (19.49, CEAT) won the San Silvestre Lagunera 2016. which attracted 3,000 runners.
