“Spend Christmas with us” says El Rosario
El Rosario is diversifying its Christmas activities in a bid to encourage local people to shop in the municipality and attract more visitors.
The festive lights are already on and the fun so far has included performances by a gospel choir and cheerleading group, the municipality’s first solidarity marathon, toy collection, workshops, children’s animation and more.
The El Chorrillo open-air nativity scene has also been unveiled, an endearing tribute to its creator, the recently deceased Domingo López López.
Highlights to come include the Christmas Festival on Friday, December 29th in the Von Humboldt Square in Tabaiba Baja, starting at 8pm, with performances by the Jeita group and the soloist Aarón Morales.
Councillor for fiestas, Yeray Gutiérrez stressed that “as we did last year we wanted to diversify the agenda of Christmas events in different areas of El Rosario with simple but emotional events and that, in addition, have the intention of encouraging purchases in the local commerce and to energise the different nuclei of the acts designed so that its residents do not have to move to other municipalities to enjoy Christmas. “
In this way, the revitalisation of the municipality at Christmas will be completed in the month of January 2018 with the act of collecting letters to the Magi in the Radazul shopping centre, on January 4th, and with the Great Cavalcade of La Esperanza on January 5th.
