More than 30 attractions in Granadilla this festive season
Granadilla de Abona is offering more than 30 acts to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.
The Plaza del Ayuntamiento hosts the inauguration of the lighting display which sets the festive scene for local people and visitors alike. The events continue until January 5th.
One “must” place to visit is the exhibition of nativity scenes made by different groups of the municipality in the Franciscan Convent.
Councillor for culture Eudita Mendoza highlighted other attractions, including the End of the Year Strolls in El Médano square, where there will be a festival by the Tropin, Deliciosa, Aparrandados and Pasión Gomera orchestras; and as a novelty, the children’s New Year’s Eve party at the Plaza de la Cultura in San Isidro on Saturday, December 30th.
The Great Cavalcade of the Three Kings of the East on January 5th will start at 5pm, concluding as is traditional in the municipal pavilion.
Another star attraction is a performance of the Municipal School of Music of Granadilla de Abona on December 22nd at the San Isidro Espacio
From the commercial point of view, the AEDL, together with the commercial asso-ciations, have launched a campaign in order to en-courage Christmas shopping in the commercial establish-ments of the municipality. This is under the slogan of “Granadilla, your store in Tenerife” and there will be loyalty rewards for customers.
Sport will also be the protagonist this Christmas, including the VII Edition of the San Silvestre Medanera on Saturday, December 30th at 4pm.
