Icod de los Vinos presents over 70 festive events
Christmas is presented in Icod de los Vinos with more than 70 cultural and recreational activities to boost the different economic sectors of the town and districts of the municipality, which will have a major role in this edition.
The Plaza Luis de León Huerta hosted the presentation of the festive poster, designed by David Socas, and the exten-sive programme of events.
Concerts, children’s per-formances, live showcases and the Cabalgata de Reyes are some of the main events in the Ciudad del Drago until January 5th.
La Mancha, Llanito Perera, the Hoya de Ana Díaz, Las Lajas or La Centinela are some of the places chosen for the celebration of workshops, concerts and festivals of folklore. With the firm commitment to promote purchases in the municipality, the council has launched various actions aimed at favouring the small business of the town, including draws of more than 2,500 euros in gift vouchers or the Christmas library for all purposes for the little ones to have fun with a battery of activities suitable for them while their families do their shopping in Icod de los Vinos shops.
Fiesta councillor, Javier Sierra, stressed “the impor-tance of a very comprehensive programme, which has had a high participation to develop more than 70 activities that will have special interest in the neighbourhoods, which will be the protagonists.”
Councillor for trade, Jannet Pérez, stressed the “significant number of actions aimed at boosting local trade, a key piece for the development of the economy in Icod de los Vinos.”
