Woman “goes beserk” in bank

A 36-year-old British woman was arrested in Mallorca for going beserk in a bank and threatening to kill the staff and set the branch on fire.

The incident happened at 8.30am, according to a report in Spanish newspaper Diario de Mallorca.

The woman is said to have gone into the bank in the centre of Palma and de-manded an amount of mo-ney from her account.

When she was told she had no cash available to withdraw, she reportedly “went out of her mind” and started to hit the windows whilst making threats to kill the cashiers.

“In view of the violent behaviour of the woman, the personnel called 091,” says Diario de Mallorca. “A patrol of the National Police appeared on the scene but despite their presence, the British woman continued with the threats. She was arrested for this crime.”
