Two fatal accidents a day apart
There were two fatal accidents just a day apart in two of the Canary Islands.
A 65-year-old man died in La Palma and a 48-year-old woman in Gran Canaria. The first was a car driver, the second a motorcyclist.
In the first incident, the 112 emergency control centre received a call saying a car had plunged about three metres down a mountain road in the municipality of San Andrés y Sauces. He was declared dead at the scene.
In the second fatal accident, the 48-year-old woman came off her motorcycle on the GC-550 in Agüimes.
She was found to be in cardiorespiratory arrest and despite prolonged advanced resuscitation attempts, she could not be saved.
