Paraglider hurt in crash landing
Another paraglider has been injured after suffering a fall in Tenerife.
The accident happened in the Los Olivos district of Adeje.
The man of about 55 years of age suffered moderate back trauma.
The incident was attended to by the Canary Emergency Service (SUC): a basic life support ambulance, Tenerife Fire Department Consortium and Local police.
“The Coordinating Centre for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that a paraglider had fallen when he was about to land and was injured,” said a spokesman. “Consortium firefighters rescued him from an area of some difficulty of access. He was then transferred in a basic life support ambulance to Hospitén Sur.”
