El Rosario continues its healthy aging campaign
El Rosario is invting the older generation to join in a series of workshops on active aging, organised by the CajaCanarias Foundation .
These days, aimed at people 60 years and older, are being held every Thursday in November (until the 23rd) in the centre of the Third Age of La Esperanza. The activity is free and places are limited.
It is a cycle of five lectures-workshops that will discuss aspects related to aging, with the aim of promoting healthy development, improving the quality of life, promoting knowledge that facilitate changes in attitudes and learning abilities.
Councillor for social action and equality, Maria de los Angeles Rodriguez, said the initiative comes in addition to the usual campaign “Gymnastics for the elderly” and the days “Dance, Physical Activity and Health,” which are developed in AAVV “La Santa Cruz” de Llano del Moro.
The free activities are aimed at stimulating the participants mentally as well as physically and allowing them to socialise at the same time.
