Residents in police tip-off over drugs
National Police have arrested a 37-year-old man for drug trafficking following an alert from local residents in Las Palmas.
They tipped-off police after noticing an influx of drug addicts in the area of Tamaraceite, something which had caused a great deal of unrest among local families.
Police uncovered a point of sale in a house in the area from where a man with police records distributed cocaine and hashish.
He was arrested after 17 grams of cocaine and 182 grams of hashish were found in his home, as well as other substances used to adulterate the drug. They also seized 1,180 euros.
