Reappearance of LSD in Ibiza “an unusual find”

Five Brits arrested in Ibiza as part of a major drugs operation had thousands of pills in their possession and more than 100,000 euros.

Police who carried out a series of raids in the party resort also revealed they were caught after a tourist out walking in the countryside found a thrown-away box containing at least 10,000 ecstasy tablets!

The Civil Guard also found methamphetamine, cocaine and LSD in a house in the San Antonio district. It is believed to have been the head-quarters for the gang, with sniffer dogs detecting the drugs which were hidden in various locations around the property.

More than 20 police officers were involved in the raids. All five Brits were inside, including the youngest, just 18 years of age. Police say they are surprised at the young age of the suspects and the huge amount of drugs found.

The thousands of pills and methamphetamine were in all forms, according to Diario de Ibiza, and unusually included LSD, “a drug not seen for a long time.” The LSD was impregnated into sheets of blotting paper.

“They had turned it into a warehouse of narcotic substances,” said a police spo-kesman.

In another operation 72 hours before, ten people were arrested on suspicion of drug offences, six of them British. Two are from Romania and two from Poland. All are aged between 20 and 30.

In this raid, police also found various amounts of cocaine, marijuana, hallucinogenic fungus, viagra, MDMA powder, MDMA tablets and nitrous oxide.
