Canaries to hit home risks of tax fraud

The Canary Islands Tax Agency and the urban areas of the islands are collaborating in the prevention of tax fraud.

The objective is to promote the circulation of tax informa-tion and raise awareness about the fight against the submerged economy.

Part of the campaign will be a number of seminars hosted by the Canary agency related to the prevention of tax fraud.

The Federation of the Urban Areas of the Canaries (FAUCA) will also hit home to its members the risk of taking part in any embezzlements whilst stressing the importance of the fight against the submerged economy.

In order to properly apply, monitor and evaluate this agreement, as well as for its correct interpretation, a Monitoring Commission will be constituted, consisting of four members, two representing the Canarian Tax Agency and two representing the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands.
