Two men die in car plunge in Granadilla
Two men, aged 65 and 74, died in a car accident after the vehicle in which they were travelling plunged six metres off the road into a vegetable garden.
The accident happened in Charco del Pino at a time unknown. They were found just after 3am in the morning when one of their relatives contacted police because she was worried about them.
It is understood both were friends and a third friend who was due to meet them in the area came across the car crash near the Cruz de Tea at the height of Pino.
The emergency services, including the fire brigade, police, Civil Guard and medics, rushed to the scene and found the car on its side in the garden.
There was nothing they could do for either occupant and they were declared dead at the scene.
Both men were Spanish and lived in the area where they were well known.
