Praise for Sansofé 2017 as festival comes to a close
The cultural summer event of the south, Sansofé 2017, came to an end after two months of programming on the coast, in El Medano and Los Abrigos.
Cinema, music, theatre, gastronomy, sports and health have been part of the events that have been taking place since July 1, when Sansofé was inaugurated with the Granadilla artist Beatriz Martín and her band and the Santa Blues Festival of Tenerife, the group ‘Keith Duun Blues Band with their show’ Feeling freedom & fun ‘.
Among the initiatives developed were the X Festival of New Talents and the XXIV People’s Folk Show, in addition to the concerts of the group ‘Son 21’; the group ‘VRANDAN’; the Band of Music of the Cultural Society Jose Reyes Martín with the Morocho; and the solidarity fair with the concert of Los Sabandeños or the Jornadas Folk Fest.
From the gastronomic point of view, the ‘Sensaciones’ was celebrated as part of the festival. Other highlights included the VI Medano Nocturno Trail., exhibitions, theatre, open-air cinema, animation workshops, a street market and play areas on the coast.
Local councillor Eudita Mendoza highlighted the great welcome given to Sansofe and appreciated the participation of each and every one of those who have participated in the 2017 programme.
The aim was to offer a free and complementary agenda to those who visit our coast in the summer.
The 2017 programme concluded with the Parranda Chasnera.
Granadilla council says many other events are held in the municipality throughout the year and they would like to encourage everyone to join in, whether locals or holidaymakers.
