“Opuntia” scoops Arte Isora 2017
Arte Isora 2017 has proved another success with artist Fani Cano scooping the top prize.
Her stunning acrylic on wood “‘Opuntia” was chosen by the panel of judges and wins the Tejina de Isora resident a prize of 1,200 euros.
The work “Mirada Perdida” (oil on canvas), by Laura Báez, also received a special mention.
“We are very satisfied with the results and we hope that the public will agree with the jury’s decision,” said councillor for culture, Lorena Medina.
“This is a cultural event already consolidated in the framework of the patronal fiestas. It is a shame that we do not have space to exhibit all the works, given the excellent number received.”
However, the winning pieces can be seen at the cultural centre of Guía de Isora until the end of September.
