Gastronomy and culture join forces in the Abama Resort in October for a charity event featuring Sara Baras and the culinary genius of the Berasategui team

The gala dinner in aid of the Fundación Alda will be open to the general public.

The Abama Resort will don all its finery on 14 October to host a grand gala dinner by chef Erlantz Gorostiza, who heads the Martín Berasategui Restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton, Abama. The dinner will be preceded by a performance by the internationally renowned flamenco dancer, Sara Baras.

Culinary genius Martín Berasategui and his disciple, Erlantz Gorostiza, whose proposals and craft have earned the The Ritz-Carlton, Abama’s M.B. Restaurant two Michelin stars, have together created a very special and exclusive dinner menu.

Choreographer and dancer Sara Baras will lend her magic to the night with a unique show – The Spanish Seduction – created specifically for the occasion. The show consists of a one-hour flamenco show performed by a cast comprising a total of five dancers and seven musicians (two gui-tarists, two percussionists and three flamenco singers). José Serrano, also a dancer, will be the guest artist.

Sara, who has won nume-rous international awards and danced on iconic stages such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall, will perform her flamenco suite in the intimate and matchless setting of The Ritz-Carlton, Abama.

The show commences at 6pm and is open to the public, although seats are limited. Tickets priced at 250 euros are available for purchase on the Abama Resort website.

Coinciding with the gala diner, the Ritz-Carlton, Abama is offering a preferential rate of 280 euros/night (breakfast included) + 7% IGIC tax for a standard double room. Subject to availability, the rate will be extended for the entire weekend for Gala attendees, giving them a unique opportu-nity to enjoy one of Europe’s finest hotels and the artistry of two of Spain’s living cultural legends.

The chosen beneficiary of the 2017 Gala is the Fundación Alda, an NGO that works to support child development and education in vulnerable communities in Paraguay.

Abama is an exclusive 160-hectare resort in Guía de Isora, South Tenerife.
