Fiesta del Pino arrives in Teror for one month
Gran Canaria Cabildo and the local council of Teror have presented the programme of the Fiestas del Pino 2017.
The festival has been described as a true reflection of the history, culture and traditions of Gran Canaria but also a big tourist attraction.
“They allow visitors to enjoy an original experience that blends gastronomy, folklore and popular festival,” says the Cabildo.
Teror estimates that the fiestas bring in around six million euros for the municipality.
The 2017 Fiesta del Pino programme offers 100 festive, religious and sports events, which will take place from the end of August to the end of September.
The programme includes the 66th edition of the Romería-Ofrenda del Pino on September 7th, the 29th edition of the Teresa de Bolívar Music Meeting held on September 1st and 2nd, the recording of the programme Televisión Española Tenderete and the 26th Folklore Festival of Gran Canaria, which will be held on September 6th.
There will also be musical performances, concerts, an art festival, food fair, tastings, horse races and more.
