José and Sherezade take pride of place on podium
José Carlos Báez and Sherezade Sigut were the absolute winners in the masculine and feminine category of the XXII edition of the Travesía a Nado de Santiago del Teide.
The event was organised by the local council’s sports department in collaboration with Opticalia and sponsors.
In the men’s category, the podium was the following: José Carlos Báez finished first with a time of 13 minutes and 06 seconds, the second place went to Karim Balli with a time of 13 minutes and 34 seconds and in the third place, James Secoy with a time of 13 minutes and 41 seconds.
In the women’s category, the podium was the following: Sherezade Sigut finished with a time of 16 minutes and 52 seconds, in second place, the local swimmer Dácil Hernández finished with a time of 17 minutes and 04 seconds while the third place went to Carla Rodríguez with a time of 17 minutes and 8 seconds. Regarding local participation, the prizes fell, in a male category, to Jonay García with a time of 16 minutes and 34 seconds, the second place went to Fran Jiménez with a time of 16 minutes and 57 seconds and the third place went to José Carlos Sánchez with a time of 17 minutes and 12 seconds.
Regarding the local women’s category, the result was the following: Dácil Hernández finished with a time of 17 minutes and 04 seconds, in the second place Elizaveta Neustroevaa finished with a time of 18 minutes and 17 seconds and third came Belén You guess with a time of 21 minutes and 17 seconds.

Adolfo, Volunteer Firefighters of Santiago del Teide, Civil Protection, Canary Transmedica, the Local Police and different volunteers who normally accompany all sports trials.
