Arona promotes golf with new range of courses
Arona is once again spreading the appeal of golf to people of all ages, including promoting its family appeal.
AronaDeportes and the Golf Federation are implementing a pioneering programme in the Canary Islands.
Golf initiation courses are being highly demanded in the summer and will be the protagonist in the next school year in the educational centres of the municipality of Arona.
The project between Arona council and the Canary Golf Federation goes under the banner of “Playing Golf at the College” and aims to bring this sport to children in a fun and material way adapted to their ages.
Golf is one of the star sports in this summer’s extensive programme of sporting activities with courses for beginners for the age group seven to 14.
As for the whole family, this initiative is being developed at the Los Palos Golf Centre with a duration of ten hours, from Monday to Friday, with the objective of starting the student in this sport under the supervision of a specialised monitor. For that, anyone interested can register by calling the Arona City Council’s telephone service 010 or 922 76 16 00.
