Adeje has been hosting 13 days of wheelchair basketball, once again showing disability has no barrier in sport.

The European Championships of Wheelchair Basketball started on June 21st and continues until June 30th.

Eighteen teams are taking part, 12 of them men, six for women, bringing together about 400 people in one of the largest events currently organised in the sport for people with disabilities.

The matches are taking place in the two pavilions of the municipality, El Galeón and Las Torres. The tournament is being organised by Ademi Tenerife and is being backed by Northgate Renting Flexible which has provided state-of-the-art wheelchairs with all the latest technology and safety features.

Some of the sessions are free. For tickets for these or the other matches, see http://www.tomaticket.es
