Nocturnal route closes hiking programme
El Rosario brought its annual programme of walks to a close with a nocturnal route at Mount Teide in which 110 hikers took part.
The event was organised by the local council’s youth department and was part of “Patean2017”.
The route was along the circular path Mountain Majúa and walkers enjoyed a spectacular night of star-gazing along the way, ending the night with wine, Canary cheese and honey.
Councillor for youth, Fidel Vázquez, who also attended the last route of the year, said that “more and more people want to enjoy nature and this programme of hikes has been consolidated as one of the activities most demanded by the residents of El Rosario to enrich their leisure time agenda in a healthy way. “
