Entries open for “Carrera Popular” in El Rosario
The fourth “Carrera Popular” in La Esperanza will have a solidarity flavour in aid of Ámate.
The registration deadline for the event is now open and it is again a scoring event for the 5 Km Championship of the Canary Islands.
The race is on Saturday, July 29th and is organised by the Department of Sports of the City Council of El Rosario and Conchip Canaria. This year, for the first time, it is hoped to have more than 200 entrants.
The race will have a journey of 5.6 kilometres in the premier class, with the test being developed along an urban circuit in the centre of La Esperanza, with departure and arrival from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
As every year, the distances of the test will be adapted to each of the categories, allowing any person who is physically fit to finish the course.
The test will be free from Pre-Benjamin to Cadet, while for the remaining categories it will cost 10 euros, of which four will go to the Association of Women with Breast Cancer of Tenerife (Ámate). The registration period is already open and can be completed at the following link: http://www.conxip.com.
Both the start and the finish of the race will take place in the surroundings of the plaza del Ayuntamiento, although there will be small variations with respect to the route of the previous edition.
The elite runners will start at 10am followed by the children at 10.10am.
Trophies and prizes will be presented at the end of the race to the top three in each category.
