La Gomera has stepped up its efforts to promote the island as a tourist destination this summer.
The island’s Cabildo hopes to exceed the six million visitors of last summer through “La Gomera in all senses.”
It also hopes to exceed the 103,000 overnight stays and the five-day average duration of Canary tourists.
Using the social networks, the campaign presents a series of promotional videos aimed at discovering the natural and cultural heritage of La Gomera in just a few minutes. Each video focuses on a different theme but interweaving content and focus. In this way, the possible tourist can see corners of the gomera coasts, along with gastronomic and cultural elements. In addition, the campaign also has a space dedicated to the Silbo Gomero that stars singer-songwriter Samuel Bento with his theme “Sílbame” and the linking of this language with the Gomera culture.
