Sporting fame awaits five-year-old on two wheels
Big things lie ahead for budding sports enthusiast Cecilio Ruiz Rodríguez despite being just five years of age!
The youngster was welcomed to a special reception hosted by Granadilla council to extend congratulations for becoming Canary champion of minibikes in the juvenile category.
Cecilio, who was accompanied by his parents, was welcomed by the Mayor, Jose Domingo Regalado; first deputy Mayor, Marcos González and the councillor for sports, Sara Cano.
This little pilot started his love for minibikes when just three when he practised the sport at Karting de Las Americas and now carries out training at Parque La Reina, where the tests of the Canarian Regional Championship are held.
In the present season, this young promise of the world of the two wheels will make the jump to the peninsula, to participate in the championship of Andalusia, that will alternate with the canary tournament, with the objective to revalidate the triumph of last year and to hit new heights.
The council officials congratulated this young pilot of the municipality with a great future in the world of motorcycling and wished many future achievements.
