Leading UK organist to perform in concert

Leading UK organist Simon Johnson will start the “Organ in concert” cycle at the Auditorium Alfredo Kraus in Gran Canaria.

The concert will be on February 26th at 12.30pm in the Symphony Hall at the Las Palmas venue.

He will perform works by Bach, Byrd, Stanford, Thalben-Ball and Reubke, as well as works composed by him-self.

Simon Johnson is an award-winning organist and assistant director of Music at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and is hailed as one of the most versatile musi-cians in religious music. He was described by Gramophone magazine as “a brilliant and sensitive musician who achieves greatness through a quiet performance.”

The next concerts will feature Mar Tejadas on March 12th; Jürgen Essl on April 9th ; and Léon Berben on May 21st.
