Are you thinking of fostering?

Q. Do I have to be home all day?

A. No, you can have a full time job, work irregular hours or work nights and still foster. Fostering kittens may need you to be around more often but we can talk to you about work/life commitments.

Q. Will Cats Welfare pay for food and litter?

A. Yes, and also vet treatment, toys, bedding, pet carriers etc. Everything your foster cat needs.

Q. Will the cat have any issues?

A. Most of the cats needing foster homes are confident and just fallen on hard times. Some though can be anxious or shy which is why being in a loving foster home can help them become more confident. We will not ask you to foster a cat you are not confident with.

Q. Is it just kittens that need a foster home?

A. We need foster homes for all kinds of cats and kittens, old, young, recovering from operations etc.

Q. Do I need a garden?

A. Foster cats need to be kept inside so they dont get lost. Not having a garden is not a problem.

Q. What happens if I go on holiday?

A. Tell us when you are unable to foster and we will work around those dates and make alternative arrangements.

Q. Can I foster if I have my own cat or other ani-mals?

A. Yes probably, contact us to discuss further.

Q. I have a busy family home can I still foster?

A. You can still foster if you have a busy home and children. Some shyer cats may do better in a quieter household but we match the cat to the foster carer.

Q. What happens if I need to take the cat to the vets?

A. We use 4 different vets practices. You can either take the cat yourself and we will give you a code to authorise the cost to go on our bill. Or, we will collect and return.

Q. What if I get too at-tached and don’t want to give it back?

A. That’s fine, we are al-ways happy when a cat gets a new loving home.

Designer sale

886.20 euros is the brilliant total raised at this month’s Designer Sale. Every cent will go towards our vet’s bills. A heart felt thanks go to our wonderful helpers. The venue was perfect as usual so thank you to The Palms Bar Golf del Sur. Last but by no means least a BIG thank you to everyone that came to support us. See you again mid February.

Koala Sur

This month’s craft tables in Koala Sur Adeje and Las Chafiras have raised more than 300 euros and lots of donations of cat food. Our volunteers tirelessly work to make the beautiful hand crafted items we have for sale and we can’t thank them enough along with those that give up their Saturday once a month to man the tables.

Donations

Good condition items can be dropped into the shop on San Blas in Golf del Sur (behind Hiperdino). It is open seven days a week 10.00 until 18.00 but on Saturdays is open from 10.00 until 16.00.
