Countdown to La Laguna’s Full Moon Race
Final preparations are being made for La Laguna’s “Trail Nocturno” on Saturday, June 18th, a hugely popular event also known as the “Full Moon Race”.
There are two tests, one of five kilometres, the other over ten, with various age categories.
Organisers say those taking part in the shorter route can either run or walk it, whichever they prefer. All competitors will have the benefit of an electronic chip to be aware of their time.
This third edition starts in the Plaza de la Catedral at 7.30pm for the five kilometre test whilst the ten kilometre race is at 7.45pm, from the same location. Participants should arrive at the place of departure 15 minutes before the start.
The five kilometre race through the historic centre of La Laguna is completely over asphalt whilst the longer event has a combination of asphalt and countryside.
La Laguna is well known for its running tests with some sort of event happening virtually every month.
