Art exhibition is finishing touch to course 


The Casa de la Cultura in San Agustín is hosting the work of La Laguna art and design students as young as eight.

The exhibition featuring about 200 items can be seen up until June 30th.

All the students are part of the Municipal School of Drawing and Painting “Perdigón” and this event serves as a finishing touch to the 2015/2016 course. More than 100 people enrolled in the academy, between the ages of eight and 16.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Mayor, Francisco Linares García and can be visited Monday to Friday 9am until 9pm.

The school is directed by Domingo González Expósito, with painting and drawing tuitition from Cristo Quintero and Ezequiel de León Cruz.

Graphite drawings and oil paintings are on display and there is also work by students of the School of Alfombristas with small carpets.

“Perdigón” is this year celebrating 25 years in the Casa de la Cultura de San Agustín, although before this it was below the town hall.

The Mayor congratulated all the students for their hard work, the teachers and the school.
