US and German police visit 112 control centre

German and American police officers have been in the Canary Islands to learn more about the 1-1-2 emergency system.

The visit was part of an exchange programme, organised on this occasion by the local police of La Laguna in collaboration with the Star International Police Exchange.

The visitors were accompanied by the Director General of Security and Emergency of the Canary Islands, Juan Francisco Padrón, and the head of the operating room of 1-1-2, Moises Sanchez.

They were able to learn at first-hand how the 1-1-2 control centre works with its early warning systems and how it deals with alerts, whether health, rescue, fire or safety-related.
