Flooding work deemed vital

El Rosario is aiming to solve historic flooding problems with a new 250,000 euro scheme.

Tenders are currently being sought for the im-provement scheme in Radazul which will take about three months to complete.

The Mayor, Escolástico Gil Hernández visited the park area of La Nea which was badly affected by floods in 2010 due to the poor network of drainage.

He said he hoped work would start in October with completion in January or February.

“This project is very important as it will prevent further damage in the future,” he pledged.
