Brand Centre promotes Canaries worldwide
A new data bank has been created so that images and news about the Canary Islands can be spread all over the world.
The “Brand Centre” gives professionals access to more than 10,000 photographs and 300 films, together with reports, articles, illustrations, original advertising and logos.
They are all available online and for free.
The project has been organised by the tourism body, Promotur Turismo de Canarias and is available in Spanish and English on www.promoturturismocana-rias.org. It is already proving a great success as during a trial over the last few months, there have been 20,000 downloads of material.
Deputy minister of tourism for the Canaries, Ricardo Fernández de la Puente Armas said users included television channels, internet portals and tourism companies from all over Europe, Canada, the USA, South America and China, as well as the archipelago.
